History
The middle level is roughly waist high and averages 30 inches deep.  This level contains the major rail yards
and cities marking the end points of the modeled portion of the railroad.  Both Galveston and Castle Rock with
their associated industries are on this level.  Just north of Galveston, the village of River Oaks is also
represented on this level.  North of River Oaks a two track helix connects the middle level to the upper level at
Indian Gap.  South of Castle Rock a long grade that winds around the peninsula through the locations of
Carbon and Trinidad Colorado connects the middle level to the upper level at Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
